At Magic hour Creative,
we’re all about making ideas roll—from sparks of inspiration to fully realized projects. Our team has extensive experience in media programs, clubs, and creative projects, and we created MHC to fill gaps we saw in access, mentorship, and hands-on opportunities for anyone who wants to create.
We’re passionate about providing a safe, welcoming space where people of all skill levels—beginners, intermediates, and advanced creatives—can explore, collaborate, and strengthen their skills.
Many of our programs grew from our own experiences in the creative world. We wanted to make sure that students and creators whose programs had been limited or shut down still had a place to learn, create, and shine. Adults often say, “I wish I had this when I was a kid,” and our mission is to ensure everyone who wants to create gets that same opportunity.
Magic Hour Creative is a club-style creative hub where students, volunteers, and freelancers collaborate across media—from podcasts and short films to community storytelling and digital content. The hub also serves as a news desk, producing event coverage, documentary-style packages, and community media that highlight local stories. We do this not only to provide hands-on experience but also to connect participants to their community, teach real-world media skills, and create content that matters.
Workshops, artist talks, pop-up events, and creative labs provide practical experience, mentorship, and professional connections that help ideas grow into real-world projects. We also support participants exploring career pathways through internships, apprenticeships, and other media opportunities. By combining creative exploration with professional development, Magic Hour Creative helps participants build skills, portfolios, and networks that prepare them for future opportunities in media and creative industries.

More than a media space, we are a hub for makers, collaborators, and the magic behind every story, where ideas are nurtured, skills are sharpened, and creativity thrives—no matter your experience level.
Creative Exploration is Welcome!
We are hoping to include things like sewing and costume-making, 3D printing, vinyl cutting, and prop building. We’re interested in sound and music creation, from beat-making to recording and editing, photography, animation, and motion design, as well as hands-on art like painting, sculpture, or zine-making. We also want to make room for storytelling in all its forms—whether through writing, performance, podcasting, or visual media. And because creativity also lives in the body, we’re excited about movement, and physical expressoin as part of our practice. Everything we will offer is shaped by curiosity, collaboration, and the idea that learning new skills should be fun, flexible, and open to everyone.
Our new location!
We are partnering with Lightbulb Rentals to establish a venue for our program. Together, we are renovating the space to create a welcoming environment.
